Registration

For the general public, you can sign up with a partner under the Novice or Open category. Or you can choose to represent your company to compete in the Bank of Singapore Corporate Challenge, where you’ll be playing against representatives from other companies! Rules and regulations apply.

For the Novice category, both players must (as of 27 July 2026) have played the sport for no more than 24 months, as well as have not medalled in any tournaments in Singapore or overseas.

For the Open category, anyone can sign up for this category. There are no restrictions on gender and age groupings.

For the Bank of Singapore Corporate Challenge, players will need to be an employee of the company they are representing. Do note that proof of employment will be requested on the day of the tournament. There are no restrictions on gender and age groupings.

Registration for this event starts from 27 July 2026, 12:00pm to 5 October 2026, 11:59pm, or when all slots are taken up.

For a team of 2, the early bird price of S$132 applies from 27 July to 31 August 2026. From 1 September to 5 October 2026, the price for a team of 2 is S$148.

The minimum age to participate in the Novice, Open and Bank of Singapore Invitational Championship is 13 years old.

For the Bank of Singapore Corporate Challenge, participants must be at least 18 years old.

For all categories, if you are under the age of 21, you will need your parent’s or guardian’s consent. Please complete the indemnity section found on the online registration form.

All registration will come with a basic personal accident insurance coverage provided by Great Eastern on the respective event days. Players aged between 13 and 75 will enjoy the following insurance coverage:

This coverage is valid only for the duration of the tournament and benefits shall be payable only in respect of accidental injuries occurring during the tournament.

You can sign up for one category in either the Novice or Open categories, and also represent your company in the Bank of Singapore Corporate Challenge. Please ensure that you meet the eligibility requirements.

Players are responsible for arriving on time for their scheduled matches. If a team fails to appear for a match, the match will be deemed a ‘walkover’, and the opposing team that reported punctually will be declared the winner of that match.

No, you will not be able to switch to another category after you have completed your registration.

A confirmation email with a login code will be sent to the email address you provided during the registration process.

The confirmation email was not sent due to one of the following reasons: 
i. You might have provided an erroneous email address when registering.
ii. The email might have been treated as a spam email and diverted to your junk box. 

If you still do not have the confirmation email after checking, please email us at enquiry@ocbcgreateasternpickleball.com and provide us with your:
i. Name 
ii. Last 4 characters of your NRIC / Passport Number

You cannot change your event apparel size after you have completed your registration. Please refer to the size chart at the point of registration to choose your preference. Sizes are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

In the event of injury or unforeseen circumstances, you may change partners once from 27 July to 5 October. Please email us at enquiry@ocbcgreateasternpickleball.com and we will reply within three working days.

Registration will be initiated by one player in the pair (the team leader). Once the team leader has completed his/her registration, the team member will receive an email containing their registration code.

Teams may be formed in any gender combination – two males, two females, or a mixed pair.

Both players in the team must meet the eligibility requirements of the category they are entering. For example, to compete in the Novice category, both players must have less than 24 months of pickleball experience and must not have won a medal in any local or overseas tournaments.

Tournament Matters

Group Stage
i. Teams will be randomly assigned to different groups of up to 16 teams per group
ii. Each team will play against two other teams which are randomly drawn.
iii. At the end of the Group Stage, the teams will be ranked within their group in the following sequence:
     a. Number of matches won
     b. Total Score Difference
     c. Highest Single Match Score Difference
iv. Should the above be insufficient to decide the top teams, a tie-breaker match will be played to determine the winner.
v. The top 2 teams of each group will proceed to the Knockout Stage

Knockout Stage:
i. Teams in the Open and Bank of Singapore Invitational Championship will start from a Round of 16, and teams in the Novice and Bank of Singapore Corporate Challenge will start from a Round of 32.
ii. Only the winning teams of each stage will progress to the next, up to the Final.
iii. The losing teams of each stage will be eliminated from the tournament

Prizes will be awarded to the top four teams of the Novice and Open categories, and the top three teams of the Bank of Singapore Corporate Challenge and Bank of Singapore Invitational Championship.

The tournament will adopt a rally scoring system, where points are awarded at the end of every rally, regardless of which team started the serve.

From the Group stage to Semi Finals, teams will play to 21 points in a single set, no deuce.

For the 3rd Place Playoffs match and the Finals, teams will play to 15 points, best of three sets, no deuce.

Paddles that are affixed with the USA and UPA-A Pickleball mark can be used in this tournament. You may use the following websites to check if your paddle is approved.

Paddle check will be conducted prior to the start of every match.

The Joola HC-40 Indoor balls will be used for this tournament.

The tournament is sanctioned and supported by the Singapore Pickle-Ball Association. Matches from the group stage to the quarter-finals will be managed by SPA-appointed match marshals, and supported with roving referees when the need arise. The semi-finals onwards will be handled by certified referees from Singapore Pickle-Ball Association.

Players will make line calls in all stages of the tournament in accordance to the guidelines in the USA Pickleball Official Rulebook.

Any disputes will be handled by the Chief Referee, whose decision is final.

Yes, spectators are welcome and entry into the venue is free of charge.

All matches will not be DUPR recorded.

All matches will be held at the OCBC Arena, The Kallang.

There shall be only one (1) time-out of 30 seconds per team per set.

Paddles are not provided and are also not available for rent. Players need to bring their own paddles for the matches.

All players are guaranteed at least two matches.

Closer to the event, players will receive an email / SMS for more information regarding their allocated match schedule.
